Introduction[edit]
Each damage is associated with a type. These types are governed by weapons and skills. Physical damage is divided by three types: slash, stab (also known as pierce) and hit (also known as blunt or strike). Then there's magic damage type.
These types will deal a certain amount of damage against different armor types. Players as well as monsters each possess a specific armor type and will be affected according to the chart below.
Damage Chart[edit]
Slash[edit]
- Deals 50% additional damage against cloth armor.
- Suffers a 25% damage penalty against plate armor.
- Suffers a 25% damage penalty against ghost armor, like all physical damage types.
Note: Swords and 2H swords deal slash damage, as well as numerous Swordsman classes skills.
Stab (Pierce)[edit]
- Deals 50% additional damage against leather armor.
- Suffers a 25% damage penalty against cloth armor.
- Suffers a 25% damage penalty against ghost armor, like all physical damage types.
Note: Spears, 2h spears, daggers and rapiers all deal stab damage, as well as numerous Archer classes skills and some Swordsman classes skills.
